What is the National Enterprise Academy and why would I want to apply?
The National Enterprise Academy (NEA) was the vision of Dragons Den entrepreneur Peter Jones and offers 16 - 19 year olds like you the first ever full-time education program in enterprise and entrepreneurship.
The NEA program offers you something instead of sixth form and gives you a unique opportunity to learn the skills and approach needed to be a success in the modern business world.
Great news for the NEA has the backing and full support of Prime Minister Gordon Brown who shares Peter's ambition for unlocking the talent of young people like you and giving you an option when you've finished secondary school.
What are my Options?
There are two options for the academy. You can start at Level 2 with four D-G GCSEs (or equivalent) or go straight into Level 3 with four A*-C GCSEs (or equivalent).

What is the National Enterprise Academy?
The National Enterprise Academy (NEA) was the brainchild of Dragons Den entrepreneur Peter Jones CBE and offers 16 - 19 year olds the first ever full-time education program in enterprise and entrepreneurship.
The NEA program offers young aspiring entrepreneurs a unique opportunity to learn the skills and approach needed to be a success in the modern business world.
Why the National Enterprise Academy?
The desire amongst young people to set up their own businesses has never been stronger.
TV show's such as Dragon's Den and The Apprentice lay down a challenge and young entrepreneurs like the founders of Innocent Smoothies and Facebook show it can be done successfully. Peter Jones founded the National Enterprise Academy because he is passionate about developing the talents of the next generation of aspiring entrepreneurs.
You can offer your children and/or students the choice when they are thinking about sixth form to take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn directly from experienced business professionals and ‘real life' entrepreneurs.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown has heralded the NEA and the contribution it will make to develop the enterprise knowledge and culture needed to build the UK's competitiveness.

Our Vision for the Future
The National Enterprise Academy aims to become an internationally-recognised centre of excellence for enterprise and entrepreneurship.
Over the coming years, the NEA will provide thousands of 16 -19 year old students with the skills and confidence they will need to succeed in business throughout their working lives. Through regular engagement with entrepreneurs and business people, young people at the Academy will benefit from the expertise, support and experience of those that have succeeded and are keen to inspire others.
The Academy will be the beating heart of a new entrepreneurially-minded nation, delivering far-reaching and tangible social and economic benefits, and establishing the UK as a global leader in enterprise.
